Peacefully after a long illness surrounded by his family on 25th July aged 86 years.  John.  Beloved Partner of Sarah.  Much loved Dad of John, Susan and Anthony and a much loved Son in Law of Jeff.  A loving Granda and Great Granda.  John will be sadly missed by all his family in Newcastle and Sarah’s family in Cumbria.  Friends please meet for requiem mass at English Martyrs RC Church Stamfordham Road on Friday 10th August at 12.30pm.  Followed by Cremation at West Road Crematorium at 2.00pm.  Family flowers only please.  Donations in lieu of flowers to Great North Air Ambulance.  All welcome back to The Benwell Hill Cricket Club for refreshments.  All enquiries to R W Barrett & Son Funeral Services 379 West Road Newcastle Tel 0191 2410873.
